Mark

The Gospel of Jesus Christ has shaped Western civilisation and impacted every culture in the world for good. It countered the classical world's tolerance of misogyny, infanticide, and slavery. The Gospel spread the Christian values of equality, dignity, and individual rights. The freedom we deem normative today is the fruit of generations of Christian mission, education, and activism.
Mark shows Jesus as the one who redeemed the world from sin and Satan. He rules over death and disease, nature and nations, culture and customs. His mission is urgent, and his power unchallenged. Christ is the Victorious Son of God.

Jesus begins his earthly ministry when he is about thirty years old (Luke 3:23). We call this phase “Ministry Foundations.” It lasts about a year and a half. During this time, Jesus will issue two calls. To unbelievers, he says, “Come and see.” To believers, he says, “Follow me” (John 1:39-40).

Mark uses the word “immediately” over forty times in his Gospel, emphasizing the intentional nature of Jesus’ ministry. The quick succession of healings and miracles shows that Jesus “came not to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many” (Mark 10:44).
