Zefania 3:19

Prophesying during the reign of King Josiah, Zephaniah’s ministry concerned the sinfulness of Judah and her neighbors. Zephaniah prophesied about a coming “day of the Lord,” when God will pour out His wrath on those who persist in their wickedness. Zephaniah reminds us that although the coming judgment of the Lord is severe, God stands ready to save those who trust in Him.

This 5-day plan will walk you through the book of Zephaniah by reading a short passage daily. Each day is accompanied by a short video that explains what you're reading and how it's all about Jesus. In this plan, you'll learn how Zephaniah warns that God’s purifying fire will bring an end to human pride, violence, and idolatry. But Jesus passes through God’s judgment for us, creating a Kingdom where the humble inherit the earth and are comforted by God’s presence.

Idolatry is rife amongst God’s people and the surrounding nations, and it’s into this context that the prophet Zephaniah brings two clear messages: judgment and restoration. Dave Cornes explores what it looks like for us to repent and return to God, trusting Him to protect us through persecution and purify us through right judgment. This five-day reading plan will inspire you to rejoice as you look forward to ultimate restoration.

You know that “off” feeling you have in your life? You don’t have to live with that restlessness, those feelings of inadequacy. You don’t have to let your past define who you are today. Dr. Zoe Shaw reminds us that when we recognize shame in our lives and bring that pain to God, we can find emotional freedom, self-empowerment, compassion, acceptance, and true transformation.
