Thousands of years ago, the art and science of making an impact was carried on the back of Story. It was the method of broadcasting breakthrough for the generations to come. It was an instrument and an illustration that could be shared with all of humanity. Story changed things. Story started things. TELL YOUR STORY.

There may be no more sobering reality for us as parents than to realize that our children are learning how to talk, think, and act based on the direction and examples we set for them through daily life. Children notice and imitate what they see and hear from us. The principle of “more is caught than taught” is at work to a greater extent than we realize, which underscores the power of influence.

Wouldn’t it be fantastic if parents could come up with the foolproof plan for shaping and disciplining the children that God entrusts to our care? That truly would be something! However, that is not the reality of parent-child relationships. There is no single formula for producing cookie-cutter kids (especially since there is no such thing!).
