Reflective questions following the message:
1. Every time we celebrate the Lord’s Supper, the pattern preaches the Gospel of Jesus Christ: Took. Blessed. Broke. Gave. Some would argue this speaks to the heart of the Christian life—the core of who we are and what we do. Do you agree? Why or why not?
2. How would you describe being Taken? Can you describe a moment in your life when you went through ‘being taken’?
3. As a follower of Jesus you are Blessed. What has this looked like in your life? How has this influenced your perspective on life?
4. In what ways have you been broken or experienced brokenness? Would you say you have at times resisted going to ‘broken’ places—either in yourself or in others? Why do you think that is? By not going ‘there’, what do you think you might be missing out on?
5. Some would say they have sensed the ‘presence of God’ the most during times of brokenness. Have you found this to be true in your life? Has this shaped your understanding of God in any way?
6. We are called to be Given—to be a blessing to others; to be difference-makers for his kingdom purposes. How can God use us in such a way after we have gone through a time of ‘brokenness’?
