The benefits of being filled with the spirit
He PRAYS for the believer (Romans 8:26-27)
He GUIDES the believer (John 16:12-14)
He TEACHES the believer (1 John 2:20, 21, 27)
He EMPOWERS the believer for witnessing (Acts 1:8)
He gives the believer ASSURANCE of salvation

The Holy Spirit is constantly present to provide inner testimony of our Divine adoption (Romans 8:15-17)
This assurance is also seen in the fruit the Spirit of God brings into our lives (Galatians 5:22-23)
Love = Agape or self-sacrificial love (Luke 10:27)
Joy = An inner contentment in spite of circumstances (John 15:11)
Patience = A longsuffering and tolerance of mistreatment that causes growth (James 1:2-4)
Kindness = Tender concern for others in need (Ephesians 4:31-32)
Peace = Realization that God is in control no matter what my circumstances (Philippians 4:6-7)
Goodness = moral and spiritual excellence (Galatians 6:10)
Faithfulness = Loyalty and trustworthiness (Luke 16:10)
Gentleness = Meekness; Power under control (Philippians 4:4-5)
What is a spiritual gift?

What they are not

Natural Talents: These are abilities acquired from birth and developed by education and practice (Music, athleticism, etc.)

General Responsibilities or Reciprocal Commands: These are actions that all Christians are supposed to participate in (Witnessing, Mark 16:15; Loving, 1 John 3:11; etc.)

Fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22, 23): These are character qualities that result from the Holy Spirit’s control in our lives
