Worship Through Giving

Giving back to God is a regular expression of worship, gratitude and praise.  See our giving options. Offering Prayer: God thank you for everything that you have provided to us. We give back to you as an expression of worship, gratitude, and praise for who you are. You are a good good father. Thank you that through this challenging time, we are assured that we do not need to worry, but trust that you will provide for our needs. Help us to be generous with what you have given, and lead us into opportunities to bless and serve others with the resources you have given to us. In Jesus' name. Amen

Pastor Sam - Choose Joy

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YOgnDcT7Qrw
Fear sees a threat and anxiety imagines one.

Hyper anxiety is like living with an alarm on constantly.

“Do not be anxious about anything” v6

Anxiety in itself is not a sin; it is an emotion. It can lead us to sinful choices or we can choose to bring and keep bringing a powerful emotion to an all-powerful God.

It is very important to acknowledge that some people struggle with clinical anxiety rooted in physiological and psychological causes. There is no shame in seeking counselling and medical help if this is the case.
Humanity is prone to anxiety at a spiritual level because of all our attempts to find security outside of God.

“The presence of anxiety is unavoidable but the prison of anxiety is optional.” Max Lucado

In Christ and because of what He has done you have a choice. And that choice is to Choose Joy!

“Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again rejoice!” v4

“Stabilize your soul with the sovereignty of God. He reigns supreme over every detail of the universe.” Max Lucado
This is about trusting God as the source of your joy even when the feeling of joy is not present.

“Your anxiety decreases as your understanding of your heavenly Father increases.” Max Lucado

What is God calling you to trust Him in as the source of joy?

How will you express the joy of the Lord in your life today?
