When Sin Goes Unchecked, Our Appetite For It GROWS [Judges 16:1-3]

Choose Your Environment Wisely
Samson Was Showing Off But Also Guaranteeing His Exit Strategy
Samson’s Life Choices Were Led By His Lust
Don’t judge a person’s spiritual life by their physical appearance
Poor Choices Move You Further Away From God (He is not the one moving)
The Inevitable Downfall Finally Happens [Judges 16:4-18]
Samson’s Disregard for His Dedication To God (Nazarite Vow) Led To His Downfall
Samson was following what his heart wanted (Jeremiah 17:9)
Samson’s Greatest Strength Becomes His Greatest Weakness

Downfalls From Poor Choices Never End Well [Judges 16:19-20]
God’s Supernatural Strength Left Samson, but NOT His relationship with him!

Grieving The Holy Spirit [Ephesians 4:17-5:5]
We grieve the Spirit by . . .
- Living like the pagans (4:17-19),
- Lying (4:25)
- Being angry (4:26-27)
- Stealing (4:28)
- Cursing (4:29)
- Being bitter (4:31)
- Being unforgiving (4:32)
- Being sexually immoral (5:3-5)

The toll that sin takes in our life is real!
Heed The Warning Sign To Make Godly Choices
If you are on a path to a moral Moral Downfall (stop this very moment, repent and turn the other way)

God can and will remove his blessing from our life but He will not forsake our relationship with Him. (as we will learn next week)

Book Recommendation 1: Moral Earthquakes by O.S. Hawkins

This book takes a great look at Samson's life and reveals the small choices that impacted his big ones. If you have ever asked yourself, "How did I get here?", or "How did that ever happen to them?", this book will help you immensely.

Book Recommendation 2: The Principle of Path by Andy Stanley

Not where you want to be? Wondering how to get there? Why is it that smart people with admirable life goals often end up far from where they intended to be? Why is it that so many people start out with a clear mental picture of where they want to be relationally, financially, and professionally and yet years later find themselves far from their desired destination? Why do our expectations about our own future often go unmet?
