January is the time of year when everyone wants to "reset" for a better life. People make goals and resolutions on how to live into the best life possible. But what if the good life is not found in any of those things? What if the good life is found by living into a totally different story? Join us in this series as we discover how to avoid settling for less and to live into what is truly good.
Begin preparing your hearts for Lent, starting with our special Ash
Wednesday service on February 26th at 6:00 PM in the FEC. This will be a reflective time with Scripture, prayer, and stations for you to prepare your heart for the journey of Lent. The Nursery will be available for children aged 3 and younger. There will be a time in the service for children to participate in a child-focused station led by our Director of Children’s Ministry, Angie Tobias.
GOING DEEPER IN LENT
As a way to help you discover greater intimacy in Jesus, we are providing two different reading challenges to help you grow deeper this Lenten season: one for all four Gospels, and one just for the account of Luke. We also will be offering opportunities like Teavotions, Early Morning Prayer, and various challenges in our fuse*, Children's, and First Night ministries. You can find either of these plans at firstchurch.cc/lent
The N’SAYN (Northern Susquehanna Area Youth Network) Conference is a ONE DAY event on February 29 for students that focuses on discipleship and leadership. Authentic worship, engaging break out sessions, and dynamic speakers make this event something special. Join with Christian students, ministries, and churches from all over the region for this remarkable day! Students can register at firstchurch.cc/fuse
