Remember the law lets us know something is wrong, but the law does not solve what it shows us is wrong in us. Nothing less than Christ dying, nothing less than God indwelling will fix us.

Remember that in salvation, we acknowledged, “The answer isn’t found here IN ME doing better, trying harder, the answer is in you alone. Then why return to that which never worked in the first place?
Remember, the heart of this argument: we didn’t just “break up” or “divorce” ourselves from law-keeping. We died to it. We can only live to God by dying to the law.
Remember “Christ in me” is a permanent state from which we don’t move. Christ said He’d never leave. On good days, bad days, moody days and flat days, “Christ is in me.”

2:21 I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness were through the law, then Christ died for no purpose.
Remember, there’s an massive amount of freedom if you can really get this. If you can tune the radio of your heart to this channel, there’s another way of living that keeps you plugged into the power source, God.

Going Deeper
1. Notice the centrality of the cross; underline every verse in Galatians that mentions the cross/ the crucifixion. What does that tell you about its importance, not just for beginning, but for living out the Christian faith?
2. What would it look like for you to radically take hold of Galatians 2:20 in your own life?
3. List 5 specific areas of life where you have the opportunity to live out grace; what does the cross of grace teach you to do in each area?
