In contrast with Abel (v. 4) who died a violent death, Enoch (v. 5) never died –God just took him straight to heaven. God has a different plan for each one who trusts Him. Verse 6 (along with verse 1) really represent key verses in Hebrews 11, explaining faith. Faith is believing that what God says is true. In Enoch we have an example of how faith is expressed by walking with God so that God Himself is glorified.
To walk with God means to keep Him at the center of our thinking in
