Neuroscience has demonstrated that giving is a powerful pathway for creating more personal joy and improving overall health. The “happiness trifecta” of dopamine serotonin, and oxytocin are released in your brain that give you these euphoric feelings of happiness...it’s proven that they are released all at the same time when you give. Reduces stress and anxiety as well.
They took joy in giving...even when they didn’t have it to give. They were begging to give. Generosity has nothing to do with how much you have...it’s a position of the heart.

Generosity is giving without an expectation of a return.
If we give to get, it works selfishness into our lives and we actually quit giving when we don’t get a return with this mindset.

The generous are motivated by the love for God and for others. It’s evidence that we love others...when we are generous toward them.

The bible talks a lot about these eternal rewards...treasures in the next life if you will. Don’t lay up treasure where moth and rust destroy...but lay up treasure in heaven
Generosity isn’t a means of salvation rather a result of salvation. What you do after salvation...determines what rewards you have in heaven.
What we do for ourselves dies with us, but what we do for others lives beyond us.
