Remember your life is to be a singing life. This world is GOD'S grand cathedral for you. You are to be one of GOD'S choristers, and there is to be a continual eucharistic sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving going up from your heart, with which GOD shall be continually well pleased. And there should be not only the offering of the lips, but the surrender of the life with joy. Yes, with joy, and not with constraint. Every faculty of our nature should be presented to HIM in gladsome service, for the LORD Jehovah is my song as well as my strength. W. Hay Aitken
And when you and I really look at it ... it wasn't a very silent night.

Philip Yancey, says about Christmas cards, “Inside, the cards stress sunny words like love, goodwill, cheer, happiness and warmth.”
… It’s a fine thing, I suppose, that we honor a sacred holiday with such homey sentiments.
… And yet when I turn to the Gospel accounts of the first Christmas, I hear a very different tone and sense mainly disruption at work,”
Have you ever asked the question, "Is GOD even listening?"
Zechariah = Faithful
Elizabeth = Covenant, Promise

Together = Faithful Promise
Zechariah was focusing on the "How" instead of focusing on the "WHO!"
Unbelief says, “How can such and such things be?” It is full of how’s; but faith has one great answer to the ten thousand how’s, and that answer is GOD!
- Charles Henry Mackintosh
Scott Nickel’s says this is about as unexpected as it gets. A baby is going to be born in an unexpected way at an unexpected time in an unexpected place through unexpected people and do unexpected things and his name will be John. And he is going to prepare the way for another unexpected baby to be born in an even more unexpected way.
We have a hard time believing that GOD will do anything for us … there are greater problems out there in the world … there are more significant things and people out there.
What have you stopped praying for? What is it that you want GOD to hear most?
Christmas is the announcement that GOD hears you.
Luke 1:76-79 MSG), “And you, my child, “Prophet of the Highest,” will go ahead of the Master to prepare His ways, Present the offer of salvation to HIS people, the forgiveness of their sins. Through the heartfelt mercies of our GOD, GOD’S Sunrise will break in upon us, Shining on those in the darkness, those sitting in the shadow of death, Then showing us the way, one foot at a time down the path of peace."
Keep praying ... Don’t give up on your praying.
Remember … it is not so much the “How” as it is the “Who”
Keep obeying ... Remember the meaning of Zechariah and Elizabeth’s names - Faithful Promise
You be faithful in your obeying
Those two were faithful to their promise.
