You Version Bible App Bulletin Available
If you have an Apple or Android device during #ZionatthePark, feel free to use the YouVersion Bible App. It has everything you need to connect with the message. You can engage with Scripture, take notes, and even save your own personalized copy for future reference. Zion content right on your smartphone! Message outlines, announcements, links to online giving — all 100% free. We have also made it so you can access the bulletin for each week. The average church spends $10,000 a year on printing bulletins. If we make use of electronic bulletins through the Bible App, you will help us eliminate those costs and put that money to use in other areas! You can download the Bible App on the Apple Store, Google Play Store, or online via https://www.bible.com/app. If you’re having trouble accessing the app, feel free to visit the Information Booth or find the Hospitality Team members throughout the park. We would love to help you download and navigate the Bible App Events Bulletin.

Discovering Journey Class
Jesus' final command in the Gospel is to “go and make disciples” (Matt. 28:19). But what does it mean to be a disciple and even more, how do we make people disciples?

Pastor Jason would like to invite you to join him this summer to Discovering Journey. Journey Groups are the primary way we make disciples here at Zion. This 11 week class is an accelerated approach for those who’d like to know and grow in Christ and understand what it means to be a disciple of Jesus. Discovering Journey is on Wednesday Nights from 5:30-6:30 PM.

SUMMER COMMUNITY GROUPS
It's summer time, and you know what that means! The great outdoors, playgrounds, barbecues, festivals, the lake, Zion at the Park, and more! It's a great time to spend time with one another and build community. Consider joining a community group! Get involved in the Northside Gardening Group, the Fishing group, or the Co-ed Softball group! There are also many service groups to take part in: Zion at the Park first aid team, security team, and clean up team, or the carnival mission team! Or, if you have a great idea for a community group you'd like to lead, contact jenniferc@zionclearlake.org!

#ZIONatthePARK // Memorial Day-Labor Day
We are excited to transition into the summer with Zion at the Park!
Our summer ZATP services will be held at 10:00 AM.

We are also excited to offer a few features for families! Every Sunday, there will be "parent resources" offered in the gazebo in the back of the park. If you don't get a chance to grab one before service, ZKids Leaders will be passing some out before the message!

Feel free to swing by before or during service to provide something new and different for your kids!

Also, this summer we are excited to offer THREE Sundays with Preschool Child Care (ages 1-5 only):
August 11th
August 18th
August 25th
We ask for parents to check-in and bring preschoolers to the Lakeview Room (the backside of the Bandshell). There will be signs for check-in by the Zion Information Booth as well as the gazebo.

In the event of rain or other weather conditions, we will have a regular service at the Dock (500 Main Ave), which will also be at 10:00 AM. Signs will be posted at the Park in the event of a venue change. We will also notify you of any changes the morning of service on the Zion website (www.zionclearlake.org), the Zion Facebook page (Zion - Clear Lake, IA),
or ZMail. There will not be child care or nursery inside.

Foster Family Support
Do you have a heart for those in foster care and the families that take in children? We are looking for people that may be interested in brainstorming ways we can do something to help! Contact Megan Dennis by June 21st if you are interested. We'll schedule a time to meet as we pray for families and share ideas of help.

Do Days Quilting Group
The Zion Women's Do Days Quilting group is looking for seamstresses to sew insides of quilts to help with the ministry. Please contact Elise Meier at 641.357.5456 if you are interested!

CHAIN REACTION - Song Lyrics
Expand
[Verse 1]
Eyes wide, I'm set on You
You made a road in the wild
Standing on ancient truth
I'm pressing on with my back to the past

[Pre-Chorus]
And oh, let the young see visions of the future and I sing
Oh-ohh, let the old dream dreams again

[Chorus]
In my world
God, do a new thing
I know You're moving
In my world
A chain reaction
Of holy passion
Oh-whoa

[Interlude]

[Verse 2]
Heart synced in stride with You
Bursting like heaven in motion
Jesus, You make me new
I'm pressing on with my back to the past

[Pre-Chorus]
And oh, let the young see visions of the future and I sing
Oh-ohh, let the old dream dreams again

[Chorus]
In my world
God, do a new thing
I know You're moving
In my world
A chain reaction
Of holy passion

[Interlude]

[Bridge]
The old life is gone
It's a new day, it's a new day
Found where I belong
It's a new day, it's a new day
The old life is gone
It's a new day, it's a new day
Found where I belong
It's a new day, it's a new day

[Post-Bridge]
In my world
God, do a new thing
I know You're moving

[Chorus]
In my world
God, do a new thing
I know You're moving
In my world
A chain reaction
Of holy passion

[Interlude]

[Outro]
The old life is gone
It's a new day, it's a new day
Found where I belong
It's a new day, it's a new day
STAR SPANGLED BANNER
Expand
Verse 1
Oh say can you see
By the dawn's early light
What so proudly we hailed
At the twilight's last gleaming
Whose broad stripes and bright stars
Through the perilous fight
O'er the ramparts we watched
Were so gallantly streaming
And the rocket's red glare
The bombs bursting in air
Gave proof through the night
That our flag was still there
Oh say does that star-spangled
Banner yet wave O'er the land of the free
And the home of the brave
Verse 2
On the shore dimly seen
Through the mists of the deep
Where the foe's haughty host
In dread silence reposes
What is that which the breeze
O'er the towering steep
As it fitfully blows
Half conceals half discloses
Now it catches the gleam
Of the morning's first beam
In full glory reflected
Now shines on the stream
'Tis the star-spangled banner
Oh long may it wave
O'er the land of the free
And the home of the brave
Verse 3
Oh thus be it ever
When freemen shall stand
Between their loved homes
And the war's desolation
Blest with vict'ry and peace
May the heav'n-rescued land
Praise the Pow'r that hath made
And preserved us a nation
Then conquer we must
When our cause it is just
And this be our motto In God is our trust
And the star-spangled banner In triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free And the home of the brave
PROPHESY YOUR PROMISE - Song Lyrics
Expand
[Verse 1]
I found You in the middle of my mess
You had been there all along
Open arms and open heart, You called me in
You didn't hesitate at all

[Pre-Chorus]
And the lies I once believed, they crumble
With the weight of Your truth
And the fear that gripped my heart, is arrested
So that I can see You

[Chorus]
When I only see in part
I will prophesy Your promise
I believe You, God
'Cause You finish what You start
I will trust You in the process
I believe You, God

[Verse 2]
You set a table in the middle of my war
You knew the outcome of it all
When what I faced looked like it would never end
You said, watch the giants fall

[Pre-Chorus]
And the lies I once believed, they crumble
At the weight of Your truth
And the fear that gripped my heart, is arrested
So that I can see You

[Chorus]
And when I only see in part
I will prophesy Your promise
I believe You, God
'Cause You finish what You start
I will trust You in the process
I believe You, God
And when I only see in part
I will prophesy Your promise
I believe You, God
'Cause You finish what You start
I will trust You in the process
I believe You, God

[Bridge]
And fear can go to hell
Shame can go there too
I know whose I am
God, I belong to You
And fear can go to hell
Shame can go there too
I know whose I am
God, I belong to You

[Bridge]
Fear can go to hell
Shame can go there too
I know whose I am
I belong to You
And fear can go to hell
Shame can go there too
I know whose I am
I belong to You
I belong

[Chorus]
When I only see in part
I will prophesy Your promise
I believe You, God
'Cause You finish what You start
I will trust You in the process
I believe You
When I only see in part
I will prophesy Your promise
I believe You, God
'Cause You finish what You start
I will trust You in the process
I believe You, God
RECKLESS LOVE- Song Lyrics
Expand
[VERSE 1]
Before I spoke a word,
You were singing over me
You have been so, so good to me
Before I took a breath,
You breathed Your life in me
You have been so, so kind to me

[CHORUS]
Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God
Oh, it chases me down, fights 'til I'm found, leaves the ninety-nine
I couldn't earn it, and I don't deserve it, still, You give Yourself away
Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God, yeah

[VERSE 2]
When I was Your foe,
still Your love fought for me
You have been so, so good to me
When I felt no worth,
You paid it all for me
You have been so, so kind to me

[BRIDGE]
There's no shadow You won't light up
Mountain You won't climb up
Coming after me
There's no wall You won't kick down
Lie You won't tear down
Coming after me
LORD'S PRAYER

Our Father who art in Heaven
Hallowed be thy Name
Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done
on Earth as it is in Heaven
Give us this day our Daily Bread
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For Thine is the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory,
Forever and ever.
Amen

Facing Goliath
Dr Patrick Hall // Lead Pastor

HUMANLY SPEAKING THERE WAS A GREAT CONTRAST BETWEEN: THE YOUNG, DAVID AND THE GIANT, GOLIATH.

The full story, of David and Goliath is recorded in: 1 Samuel 17

So, how is it that you see your CHALLENGES in life?
So, ask yourself… “How can you find victory over this CHALLENGE”?

We can look at our own Goliath in ONE of TWO ways:
Through the eyes of the faithLESS, or… Through the eyes of the faithFUL.

“For our life is a matter of faith, not of sight.” 2 Corinthians 5:7

"And all the men of Israel, when they saw the man (Goliath), they fled from him, and were very afraid." 1 Samuel 17:24

BEFORE THE BATTLE EVEN STARTS THEY FLEE.

The unlimited view of the faithFUL brings about courage, which results in totally dominating the enemy.

"For who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?" 1 Samuel 17:26

Ignore the doubts expressed by the faithLESS around you.

Remember your "Poof Stories

Forsake fleshly means which have not been proven of value in favor of the God has been proven

Act boldly in the face of intimidating circumstances.

David surrenders to God and gives him the credit.

"And all the men of Israel, when they saw the man (Goliath), they fled from him, and were very afraid." 1 Samuel 17:24

David surrenders to God and gives him the credit.
