1. If you were a paratrooper, would you jump out of an airplane without securing your parachute? Being prepared for what you know is coming is crucial to survival. Jesus is coming back for His church. Will He find faith on the earth? How have you prepared for meeting the Lord Jesus Christ?
2. Read Matthew 5:13-16 and John 15:1-5. Knowing the times in which we live, is your faith grounded in the Word of God and a close relationship with the Lord? What might the Lord be saying to you through His Word and the Holy Spirit concerning being personally prepared to live and make a difference in this culture?
3. We spend a lot of time waiting in life. Does your patience ever escape you in a long line at a store? Is there something you have been waiting for a long time to occur, that does not seem to be happening? How do you maintain hope for the future? There are some things that are worth the wait. Jesus addressed the waiting believer in Matthew 25:1-13. Read and comment how sleepiness slips into the delay of the bridegroom’s coming.
4. More people base their decisions on subjective feelings, than objective truth. Truth has become what feels right at the moment. Is there an external source of truth to which we can appeal? Read 2 Corinthians 4:2-7; John 8:31-32, 14:6, 16:13; Romans 1:18-20.
We are a Christ centered community, whose heart is to be a place where individuals are knowing Jesus Christ, growing in Christ, and going out into the world with Christ, in order that lives would be transformed by the gospel and God would be glorified.
