Luke 17:11-18
Now on his way to Jerusalem, Jesus traveled along the border between Samaria and Galilee. As he was going into a village, ten men who had leprosy met him. They stood at a distance and called out in a loud voice, “Jesus, Master, have pity on us!” When he saw them, he said, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they were cleansed. One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice. He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him — and he was a Samaritan. Jesus asked, “Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? Was no one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?” (NIV)

Expose Any Ungratefulness

Decide to turn blessings into praise!
Every blessing I don’t turn back to praise turns into pride.
Philippians 4:11-13
I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength. (NIV)

• What are you most grateful for? To whom do you need to express gratitude?
• In each of the three areas (material/financial, relational, circumstantial), what’s feeding your feelings of entitlement? How will you pursue an attitude of gratitude?
• List your blessings. Take some time to turn those back to God as praise.
