Mission Hills Church
Equipted | Unified Diversity
As followers of Jesus, we've been entrusted with an incredible calling: to live on mission with Jesus, extending God's influence into every nook and cranny of our world. That's exciting, but it's also intimidating. It's easy to feel like we don't have what it takes to pull it off. But we do. You do. God has equipped you - and all the followers of Jesus together - with powerful, world-changing gifts. Join us as we learn together how to be the world-changers God has equipTed us to be.

Welcome to Mission Hills!
Mission Hills is a church family—a family who wants to extend to you the same love, hope, and joy that we have received. We know that we cannot be all things to all people. But we do want to be one thing to all people. We want to be the place where anyone, of any age, of any level of spiritual maturity, of any economic class, of any ethnicity, of any church background—or no church background—can meet God in a way that transforms their life…forever!

If you are a first time guest, we would love to meet you! Stop by the Welcome Center for a free gift.

Summer Volleyball

Add some friendly competition to your summer nights! This is a weekly leisure, self-officiated co-ed volleyball league. We’ll have 6 teams of 10 players, with 6 players on the court at a time. Each team must have a minimum of three women on the field. This is a great way to get plugged in and connect with others from the church. Invite a friend to experience Christian community and competition. $40 | Thursdays, starting June 27. We will play outdoors on the Mission Hills Littleton Campus Field, and games will be played between 6 – 9 PM.

What we know:
1. God created and redeemed us for mission.
2. Where God guides, He provides.
3. God has equipped us with natural, learned and spiritual gifts.
God has equipped us for mission through the gift of other believers.
How do we get the promised benefit of diversity without the potential division?
The church depends on diversity.
The church depends on unity.

Biblical diversity is different gifts working together to extend God's influence in the world.
22 On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, 23 and the parts that we think are less honorable we treat with special honor. And the parts that are unpresentable are treated with special modesty, 24 while our presentable parts need no special treatment.
(1 Corinthians 12:22-24a)
The amount of attention something attracts is no measure of the importance it actually has.
But God has put the body together, giving greater honor to the parts that lacked it, so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other.
(1 Corinthians 12:24b-25)
1. God hates division in the church.
2. We do our part by having equal concern for each other.
The success of our mission depends on our ability to value the diversity of God's gifts.
Instead of driving us towards our purpose, diversity often drives us away from each other.
1. We keep the mission front and center.
2. We refuse to confuse:

// We refuse to confuse visibility with value.
// We refuse to confuse comfortable with compelling.
// We refuse to confuse different with diverse.
// We refuse to confuse similarity with solidarity.
3. We celebrate what moves us towards our mission.
1. How can I put my mission front and center this week?

2. Where am I most prone to getting confused? (visibility with value, comfortable with compelling, different with diverse, similarity with solidarity)

3. Who can I celebrate this week for being on mission with Jesus?
