We welcome you to worship, fellowship and learn together as we experience the presence of Jesus. It is our hope that you are able to connect with the God that loves you and experience the change that comes through growth.

Do you have kids?
We have awesome environments for them to learn about God on their level, babies through 6th grade. If you've got a fussy baby, there is a family room out the rear east door of the sanctuary with live feed of the service and access to a nursing room as well.

Is this your first time?
Everyone here had a first time at some point, and we're glad you're here with us. We would appreciate it if you filled out the guest card at this link: oronaz.org/new

The Season of Advent Worship Theme is “Between Two Worlds:” Advent means “coming.” In this season of God coming in Jesus, we will look back to the loving movement of God’s incarnation as Savior; turn our attention to the present company of the Holy Spirit; all the while, practicing the coming promise of New Creation. Using the five historical themes of Christ’s advent (hope, faith, joy love, peace) our worship services will contrastthe present worldly kingdom which we have deemed ourselves rulers over, alongside the established yet unfolding kingdom of God. Hope shines as light in the darkness as Emmanuel “God with us” chooses a seat next to us instead of the heavenly realms. This reality brings the heart of God into focus as a relentless love that steps into our crumbling kingdoms, to offer a whole new way to live and breathe and have our being.

Tonight, 6pm: Tree Lighting Service. Let’s kick off the Christmas season together. Children are singing! Bring cookies to share. No ornaments needed this year.

Loose Offering on the first of the month goes to our Compassionate Ministries Team to support local community needs.

Thank You for the Thanksgiving Offering, totaling $4,345, which will go to the Hurricane Dorian victims in the Bahamas!

It's Upward Season! We have just finished our first Evaluation, but this is just the beginning. Our 2nd and last Evaluation is this Sat, Dec 7, from 9am-12pm. Upward practice begins the week of Jan 6 and the first game is Sat, Jan 18. Sign-up to volunteer on bulletin insert.

Thank You for all the help and prayers during my transition from my home of 38 years to my daughter Carol’s house. Please continue praying that I can find items in my boxes and that the settling–in period goes well. God’s blessings to all. Dolores Keena

Children’s Clothing Swap is rescheduled to Sat, Jan 11, 9am—12pm, in Fellowship Hall. Bring all the clothes your kids have outgrown and trade them in for clothes that fit them. For every piece of clothing you bring, you take a new one home! All clothes will be sorted and organized; you won’t have to dig through piles. You may never have to buy clothes again! We help each other out; that’s what being a community is all about!

HOPE HAS A NAME
Kenn Bishop
December 1, 2019
"The more terrible the storm, the more necessary is the anchor." William S. Plumer
My Hope is Built

My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus' blood and righteousness.
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly trust in Jesus' Name.

Refrain
On Christ the solid Rock I stand,
All other ground is sinking sand;
All other ground is sinking sand.

When darkness seems to hide His face,
I rest on His unchanging grace.
In every high and stormy gale,
My anchor holds within the veil.

Refrain

His oath, His covenant, His blood,
Support me in the whelming flood.
When all around my soul gives way,
He then is all my Hope and Stay.

Refrain

When He shall come with trumpet sound,
Oh may I then in Him be found.
Dressed in His righteousness alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne.
