God’s Love (Agape love) is an unstoppable force, not a fleeting emotional state.
Let’s let the tomb of Jesus also represent our pain, our problems and our fears this morning.

Acts 2:22-24

Acts 2:23-24

There wasn’t a tug of war between death and the power of God on Easter morning. It wasn’t ever close to a questionable outcome!
There is a power that I think almost everyone in this room at least from time to time, has to push back their fear of – has to wrestle with its tendency to make us anxious. That’s the power of death.
The most incredible, life altering reality we could encounter here this morning is this: In Jesus Christ’s life, death and resurrection, the Perfect Love of God overwhelmingly defeated death on our behalf.
But God raised Him up again, putting an end to the agony of death, since it was (and continues to be) impossible for Him (Jesus and now us) to be held in its power. Acts 2:24
Now I have given up everything else—I have found it to be the only way to really know Christ and to experience the mighty power that brought him back to life again … Philippians 3:10
...our Savior Christ Jesus, who abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.. 2 Timothy 1:10
Perfect Love casts out fear. 1 John 4:18
Wherever we are having a hard time trusting God - really depending on Him- it is because we have not come to a real awareness that we are firmly in the grip of Perfect Love
Regardless what your tomb is or how dark it seems inside, have you tried Perfect Love?
Here’s what that means to try Perfect Love: Surrender to it. Instead of trying to deal with your “tomb” on your own, be willing to give up that effort and rely on God’s Perfect Love to do it for you.
God loves you with a love so powerful, a love so truly good, a love so unchanging and unrelenting that you can literally surrender to it. It’s not just safe – it’s absolutely perfect.
