Breakdown of the Seven Letters to the Seven Churches

Today we are going to focus on the solution to the problems we will see in Philadelphia — #Perseverance
Today's Key Word is: ________________________
Who was the Church of Philadelphia?

- Faithful in Leading Others to Christ
- Trusted God
- Persevered through Opposition
God Is Our Sustainer

Definition from the KJV Dictionary:
Sustain: To bear; to uphold; to support; as, a foundation sustains the superstructure; pillars sustain an edifice; a beast sustains a load.
Jesus identified Himself as being:
- He who is True
- He who is Holy
- He who has the Key of David

Why do we have such a hard time accepting who Jesus is?

- Life events can sometimes feel equivalent to an earthquake.
- The aftershock comes after the main shock and can cause the most damage.
- Allow God to be your Sustainer even in life altering events
The Church of Philadelphia viewed God as the One who sustains:

- Evangelistic opportunities
- Reliance on His strength
- Faithful to Jesus' teachings
What do you do when there is a door in front of you that you know God has opened?

- Be Uncomfortable
- Be Fearless
- Turn to the Tree of Life
- Trust His timing and His way

3. What kind of letter would you receive from Jesus today?
