Grace Chapel
Devoted: Seeing God’s Reflection in My Fire
Welcome to Grace Chapel! Every trial in life will test your loyalty to Christ and prove His faithfulness to you. If we will biblically fight pride, overcome jealousy, and increase trust in God, we will be ready for the battle we are currently fighting or the one waiting for each of us around the corner.

Every trial in life will test your loyalty to Christ and prove His faithfulness to you.
Dispel pride before it distracts from God’s image (vv. 1-7)

Being devoted to God means we know who we are and what we stand for.

Literal translation — “They were eating pieces of the Jews”
Destroy jealousy before it eats your soul. (vv. 8-15)

Every day in our life is a test of our loyalty to Christ and an opportunity for Him to prove His faithfulness to us.
Develop loyalty to God by trusting Him with the outcome. (vv. 16-25)

Fighting with faithfulness in a trial means that we are training ourselves in godliness in the absence of the trial.
God did not keep them out of the fire but He found them in it.

Trust God to refine His image in you as you go through the fire. (vv. 3:26-4:3)
Every trial in life will test my loyalty to Christ and prove His faithfulness to me.
This week I will…
- Evaluate where I am fostering jealousy and pray for God’s help to surrender this area to Him.
- Make a list of the top five things I know God to be in my life and what that means to me personally.
- Read all of Daniel 4, 5, and 6 three times.
- Memorize 1 Peter 4:12–13.
