Mission Hills Church
When Everything Falls Apart | Positioned and Primed
No matter how hard we try, we can’t always keep setbacks and struggles at bay. And sometimes, just when we thought we had this whole “life” thing figured out…everything falls apart. That’s how the first followers of Jesus must have felt when he was arrested and crucified. But Jesus knew everything that was coming…and before it happened, he taught his followers a series of crucial lessons about living with hope and courage when everything falls apart.

Welcome to Mission Hills!
Mission Hills is a church family—a family who wants to extend to you the same love, hope, and joy that we have received. We know that we cannot be all things to all people. But we do want to be one thing to all people. We want to be the place where anyone, of any age, of any level of spiritual maturity, of any economic class, of any ethnicity, of any church background—or no church background—can meet God in a way that transforms their life…forever!

If you are a first time guest, we would love to meet you! Stop by the Welcome Center for a free gift!

"I am the true vine..." (John 15:1a)
What false vines have I gotten tangled up with?
"...and my Father is the gardener." (John 15:1b)
Fruit is both a sign of life and a source of life.
He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, (John 15:2a)
Fruit is both a sign of life and a source of life.
while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. (John 15:2b)
God is committed to producing the most of what Jesus came to provide.
How do we remain in Christ?
// Consistently taking the next step of obedience
// Consistently choosing to worship
// Consistently participating in Christian community
Staying connected to Christ transforms our desires.
16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last— (John 15:16a)
and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. (John 15:16b)
If he has chosen us, then he is committed to us.
God wants us to receive and radiate life.
1. What false vines have I gotten tangled up in?

2. What area(s) of my life can I sense God wanting to prune?

3. Where is God calling me to radiate?

Baptism Weekend | March 9 + 10

We believe that baptism is an important step of obedience for every person who has accepted Christ as his or her Savior. Baptism is a public declaration of an inward faith, and a personal declaration that we choose to identify with Jesus. If you'd like to be baptized this March, we'd love to meet with you briefly to hear God's story in your life. Sign up online to attend one of our baptism preparation meetings.
