When Everything Falls Apart | Who, Not Where
No matter how hard we try, we can’t always keep setbacks and struggles at bay. And sometimes, just when we thought we had this whole “life” thing figured out…everything falls apart. That’s how the first followers of Jesus must have felt when he was arrested and crucified. But Jesus knew everything that was coming…and before it happened, he taught his followers a series of crucial lessons about living with hope and courage when everything falls apart.

Welcome to Mission Hills!
Mission Hills is a church family—a family who wants to extend to you the same love, hope, and joy that we have received. We know that we cannot be all things to all people. But we do want to be one thing to all people. We want to be the place where anyone, of any age, of any level of spiritual maturity, of any economic class, of any ethnicity, of any church background—or no church background—can meet God in a way that transforms their life…forever!

If you are a first time guest, we would love to meet you! Stop by the Welcome Center for a free gift!

Group Link

We believe community is key to growing deeper in our faith and becoming who God created us to be. Every week, there are groups of 10-15 people meeting in homes all over the area to connect and grow spiritually. We have life groups, bible studies, common interest groups, and more! Stop by the lobby before and after weekend services on January 19+20 and 26+27 to meet group leaders and check out small group opportunities.

“My children, I will be with you only a little longer. (John 13:33a)
"Do not let your hearts be troubled." (John 14:a)
Difficulty is inevitable, but despair is optional.

"You believe in god; believe also in me." (John 14b)
Our belief in God and His son, Jesus< is the starting point for choosing peace.
My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? (John 14:2)
My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? (John 14:2)
Jesus is talking about going to the cross to open the gates of heaven.
We can choose peace only when we remember that difficulties don't derail God's plans.
We naturally think that "where" is the key to everything.
Where isn't as important as you think it is.
Everything falls apart when we put our hopes in where instead of who.
We can choose peace by investing in Who, not where.
What is my hope invested in? (do a hope audit)
- What do I spend the most time worrying about?
- What is the source of my greatest anxiety?
- What do I most fear losing?

What concrete step will I take today to invest my hope in Jesus?
- Join a group?
- Begin serving?
- Go on a short-term mission trip?
- Start making a daily investment in my relationship with Jesus? Reading the Bible, praying?

Short Term Trip Meeting

Join us for an information meeting at the Littleton campus. This meeting is for those interested in going on a short term mission trip, who have signed up to go on a trip, or who just want more information about short term missions. We’ll have material on all the trips, discuss logistics, finances, and what is expected of team members. There will be time for questions as well.
