New Life Assembly of God
Sunday, November 11, 2018 — Just Give. Thanks.
In Luke 6:38, we read the words of Christ that say, "Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." It is quite possible that you have read and heard those very words many times and missed the truth of what God's Word is communicating. Luke 6:38 is not the motive for us to give, but the reward for giving with the right heart. There is a critical difference between the two and God does not want you to mistake one with the other. God is not encouraging greed or selfishness—quite the opposite. Just Give. Thanks. is a straight-forward series on generosity designed to bless your life with the gifts that come from aligning our hearts and actions with God’s heart for our actions. We realize that if people do not learn about money in the church, where are they going to learn about it? If we are going to cultivate a thriving relationship with God, we need to invite God’s Word to speak to us about all matters. As we prepare to give thanks to God for all that we have, let us be open that he may have even more for us that only comes as we give with the right heart.

The tithe is ten percent.
The tithe is the first ten percent.
The tithe is the best, first ten percent.
It must be blessed before it can multiply.
It must be given away before it can multiply.

"There are more apples in the orchard to make apple pies from."
It must be given away before it can multiply.
Money is simply a test to see who has our hearts.
We must trust God for our needs.

"Money is never the answer to problems—God is." —Robert Morris

We must fight the temptation of greed.
God will supply seeds to the sower—not the keeper.

You reap what you sow.
You reap after you sow.
You reap more than you sow.

Your one day changes their everyday!
