ThornCreek Church
Grateful :: Grumbling Ingratitude
There is incredible power in having an attitude of gratitude. Truth is, it’s not something that comes natural to us. But, throughout the Bible, you see a heart of thanksgiving is part of a healthy soul. During this three week series, we will look at how to have a heart of gratitude...even when things don’t go our way!

Feed 5000 | Mon-Fri, Nov 12-16
We will be assembling 1,600 boxes of food that include everything needed to prepare a full holiday dinner for a family of 4-6 people. Each box includes a turkey! These boxes will be distributed through the schools we serve, as well as to community members who may need some extra love this holiday season. Help us give our neighbors the dignity of preparing a meal in their own home when they otherwise would go without. Find out how you can be a part of this at

TC Kids
ThornCreek Children’s Ministry strives to partner with families to raise children in the way of Jesus. It’s our goal for children to be transformed by the love of God, to grow in their walk with God, surrender their lives to God, and be a light in the world for others to know God in the same way.

Our curriculum takes the kids through the Bible in a year and they are invited into The Big God Story to experience it and discover who God is and how they fit into His plan!

We believe that parents have a huge impact on the faith of their children! Every Monday, parents are emailed a Family Bible Study that you can do throughout the week with your kids. We also have a repeating 6-week Spiritual Parenting small group that you can be a part of to learn more about raising your children to know God!

We have classes available each weekend for Infants through 5th grade.

All volunteers have passed background checks and we have security procedures in place to create a safe environment for your kids.
TC Students
TC Teens Ministry’s mission is to create a safe place for teenagers to encounter Jesus, to ask questions, and to experience the Love God has for them, while ultimately integrating them into the body and mission of Christ.

Encounter | Thursdays 6:30pm-8:00pm @ Mountain States Baptist (3751 Cottonwood Lakes Blvd, Thornton 80241)
Soul Fuel | Sundays 9:30am @ Prairie Hills Elementary School

QUESTION: Do you have a reputation for being a complainer?
The Greek word translated “complainer” means literally “One who is discontented with his lot in life.”

Grumbling is a sin.
QUESTION: Is there such a thing as harmless grumbling?
The road to your Promise Land is filled with trials and tribulations. Don’t complain along the way. You make it miserable for those around you, and God hears you.
Don’t grumble about work. It speaks more about your character than your job situation.
We say foolish things when we have a complaining spirit.
“Hell begins with a grumbling mood, always complaining, always blaming others.” - C. S. Lewis
Don’t be a thirsty complainer. It shouldn’t be that easy.

“Nothing destroys the warmth of a home faster than complaining. Nothing destroys the harmony of a marriage faster than complaining.” - Rick Warren
Don’t overlook the miracle of the day.
When you grumble, you test God. You are questioning His goodness in your life. It’s personal to God. Instead, thank God for all He’s done and trust Him.
“How tragic to be simplistic, comfort-driven Christians who think that when it feels good, God is good; and when it feels bad, we have the right to complain.” - Jim Cymbala, Pastor at Brooklyn Tabernacle
No grumbling for a week
