Say Yes To God’s Vision
Proverbs 29:18; Acts 20:22-24
We all end up somewhere in life. But few people end up somewhere on Purpose.

“Where there is no vision, the people perish”
Proverbs 29:18 (NLT)

"If money were no object to you, what would you do with the rest of your life?"
There are 4 phases to vision found in scripture…

“And now I am bound by the Spirit[f]to go to Jerusalem. I don’t know what awaits me, 23 except that the Holy Spirit tells me in city after city that jail and suffering lie ahead. 24 But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.”

Acts 20:22-24 (NLT)
The four phases of vision…

1. The Spirit’s Prompting

“And now I am bound by the Spirit to go to Jerusalem”
2. Certain Uncertainty

“And now I am bound by the Spirit to go to Jerusalem. I don’t know what awaits me,”

“Trust God and do the next thing.” Oswald Chambers
3. Predictable resistance.

“And now I am bound by the Spirit[f]to go to Jerusalem. I don’t know what awaits me, 23 except that the Holy Spirit tells me in city after city that jail and suffering lie ahead.”
4. Uncommon Clarity

“But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.”

“But I realized they were plotting to harm me, 3 so I replied by sending this message to them: “I am engaged in a great work, so I can’t come down. Why should I stop working to come and meet with you?”

Nehemiah 6:3 (NLT)
"Disturb us, Lord, when we are too well pleased with ourselves, When our dreams have come true because we have dreamed too little, When we arrived safely because we sailed too close to the shore. Disturb us, Lord, to dare more boldly, to venture on wider seas where storms will show Your mastery; Where losing sight of land, we shall find the stars. We ask You to push back the horizons of our hopes; And to push into the future in strength, courage, hope, and love."
