Characteristics of the Early Church:
- Sincere love
- Authentic Relationships
- Tangible Presence of God
- Radical Generosity
Acts of the Apostles 4:32-33 NLT

Generosity Defined

- Putting the concerns and interests of others before one’s own.
- The free and liberal bestowal of wealth, possessions or food upon others - The same way God has given us His grace.

Generosity is also one of the core values of The Outlet Community Church (
The greatest contribution Christians can make to the world is not our theology but our radical generosity.
Generosity is the power of God at work!
Acts of the Apostles 3:1-8 NLT

The Foundation to Generosity is Love
Generosity is an Attitude of the Heart
The enemies to generosity are worry and care. We were not designed to meet our own needs. Trusting God to meet your needs breeds selflessness. Trying to meet your own needs (in your own strength) breeds selfishness. #theoutletcc #radicalgenerosity
When I talk of treasure, I’m not only talking about money. I’m referring to the attitude of your heart. Generosity includes but is not limited to financial resources.

Ask yourself, “Did I do my best?”
Reflection + Discussion

1.Do you believe if you had more financial resources that it would be more or less difficult to remain generous?

2. Are there any examples where we should not be generous?

3. Take 5 minutes to write out ways to cultivate a generous heart.
