Mission Hills Church
Mission Killers | Reputation Management
God is, by his very nature, out-going, outward-facing and on-mission. Always has been. Always will be. And human beings, made in His image, are created to live on-mission with Him...but do we? Join us as we explore seven of the most common obstacles to living in fulfillment of our purpose as God’s children.

Mission Hills is a church family—a family who wants to extend to you the same love, hope, and joy that we have received. We know that we cannot be all things to all people. But we do want to be one thing to all people. We want to be the place where anyone, of any age, of any level of spiritual maturity, of any economic class, of any ethnicity, of any church background—or no church background—can meet God in a way that transforms their life…forever!

If you are a first time guest, we would love to meet you! Stop by the Welcome Center for a free gift!

Colorado Christmas Adventure

The Colorado Christmas Adventure is as much Christmas fun as we could pack under one roof! For just one weekend, this free event will feature Christmas character experiences, music, crafts, a gingerbread house contest and display, and more. There are so many ways to get involved - begin to think of some friends or neighbors to invite to attend with you, sign up to compete in our gingerbread house competition, or volunteer at one of our activities during the event! The church in Laodicea had a perspective problem.
I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. (Rev 3:15a)
If anyone should have a reputation for their water, it's the followers of Jesus!
I wish you were either one or the other! (Rev 3:15b)
Jesus wants his church to have a reputation for their living water.
You say, 'I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.' (Rev 3:17a)
When we're satisfied with a reputation the world applauds, we stop hungering for God's applause.
But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. (Rev 3:17b)
I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see.(Rev 3:18)
The basis of my current reputation is often the barrier to the one Jesus wants me to have.
What is my current reputation based on? What am I known for?
Our relationship with Jesus is where our reputation needs to start.
Jesus wants us to have a reputation for being on-mission with him.
Jesus wants us to have a reputation for love, light and leverage.
CHALLENGE:

• Love someone in the name of Jesus in a tangible way this week.

• Light up a dark place in your sphere of influence this week.

• Leverage something you’re good at to point people to Jesus.

Operation Christmas Child

Be a part of the largest child evangelism project in history by filling a shoebox for a child in need. Each box contains the gospel message of hope. Pick up a shoebox in the lobby during the next two weekends, and return your filled box by November 19.
