The Outlet Community
The 6th Installment of the Radical Series deals with "Radical Faith." Grace has provided everything you will ever need in life. In order to access grace, we must properly understand faith and how it works. The Outlet Community Church (Atlanta, GA) exists to empower, equip, develop, and deploy people to live authentically.

Radical Faith
Radical Series - Part 6
Romans 1:16-17 (NKJV)

Let's Be Social: @theoutletcc, @vincethomasjr, @ashleysthomas
I. Radical Faith vs. Religious Faith

Religious Faith depends on our own performance. “If I will, then He shall”
Radical Faith depends on Christ -“ He Has Done, I will do...”
Different Translations of Romans 1:17

Romans 1:17 (NLT): 17 This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.”

Romans 1:17 (NDSB Ro): The way to a right relationship with God is revealed in it when man’s faith responds to God’s fidelity, just as it stands written: ‘It is the man who is in a right relationship with God as a result of his faith who will live.’
Could we be living less than what God intended for us due to more of an awareness of our sin than an awareness of God’s grace? #theoutletcc
II. Faith is the Pin (Access code) that unlocks the unlimited supply of grace we have been given

Where Does Faith Come From?
Where Does Faith Get its Power?
III. Lessons on Radical Faith from Jesus
Mark 11:12-14
1. Curses the fig tree with no fruit (symbolic of man’s attempts to have peace and security)- leaves were mans attempt to cover themselves from shame of failure and disappointment with no fruit (power) to change.

Mark 11:15-17
2. Cleanses the temple - Changes the system of religion. Instead of paying for our own sins, Christ paid once and for all for us to be righteous. God accepts us in His sight and proceeds to clean us up

Mark 11:20-24
3. Have God’s faith - faith rooted in what God has done for us, not what we can do for ourselves.
Reflection + Discussion

1.Do you find it difficult to ask God for help in every area of your life?

2. Do you find yourself attempting to do "good deeds" to earn God's favor? What are some ways to stay reminded of God's steadfast love for you?

3. What are the 2 Enemies of the Gospel of Grace? Have you ever witnessed either one or both of those enemies before?
