Call to Worship and Welcome
Leader: Answer us when we call, O God of my righteousness! ALL: You have given us relief when we were in distress. Leader: Be gracious to us and hear our prayer! ALL: the Lord hears when we call to him. Leader: We put our trust in the Lord. ALL: Lift up the light of your face upon us, O Lord!” Leader: for You have put joy in our heart ALL: for you alone, O Lord, make us dwell in safety. And so we worship you!
Adapted from Psalm 4

Liturgy
Silent Personal Confession From Psalm 32 1 Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. 2 Blessed is the man against whom the Lord counts no iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit. 5 I acknowledged my sin to you, and I did not cover my iniquity;6 I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,”.
Unison Confession
Father, we balk at your fatherly strength, kindness, and care. Have mercy on us, heal and restore us, forgive us and make us whole, gracious and heavenly father. Jesus, we ignore your commands, we resist the lives of life you call us into, and believe we know what is best for ourselves and our neighbors. Forgive us Jesus, and lead us into the kingdom life you describe. Holy Spirit we resist your guidance, gentle warnings, and encouragement. We do not cast our anxieties on you as you encourage us to do. We turn to mundane gifts for peace and comfort. Forgive us Holy Spirit and make us whole.
Declaration of Forgiveness The Almighty and merciful Lord grant you absolution and remission of all your sins, true repentance, amendment of life, and the grace and consolation of his Holy Spirit. Amen.
Song of Response Doxology (Amen)

Gracious God, you have made us one with all your people in heaven and on earth. You have fed us with the bread of life, and renewed us for your service. Help us who have shared Christ’s body and received his cup, to be his faithful disciples, so that our daily living may be part of the life of your kingdom, and our love be your love, reaching out into the life of the world; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Offering
The Apostle Paul assumes that local gatherings of Christ followers support the work of the Gospel. He describes giving monetarily in almost every letter he writes in the New Testament. Christ followers give what they can for the work of the local church and for mission churches. Similarly here, we hope you are planning and then giving joyfully because you believe in the mission and vision of this local gathering.
