“Just Do It”
Pastor Daniel Foster
It is a lot easier to talk about surrender than it is to actually surrender.
James 1:22
Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.
There is a huge difference between knowing what God says and actually doing what God says.
What you believe has to change what you do.
1 Kings 18:21
How long will you waver between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow him.
1. JUST DO IT SCARED.
Joshua 1:9
(God to Joshua) “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Don’t wait for fear to disappear before you obey.
Sometimes faith is moving while fear is still talking.
2. JUST DO IT BEFORE YOU'RE READY.
God uses obedience to develop us.
God isn’t waiting on your readiness. He’s looking for your willingness.
3. JUST DO IT FOR THE ONE.
