Overview: Every new beginning starts with a reset. Before God launches us into a new season, He often calls us to fast, not to punish us, but to prepare us. Fasting is God's tool to CLEANSE the HEART, SHARPEN the SPIRIT, and ALIGN us with HIS VOICE.

Four things fasting does in helping to reset our hearts:
1.Fasting helps us to understand that God initiates everything
2 Fasting helps us to be honest during the reset and not perform
3 Fasting helps us to remember who GOD is and who WE are during the reset
4 Fasting will help us to remember that during this process, it is a reset, not a return.

Why fast? Because it breaks chains, yokes and burdens, and sets the captives free.
