Omniscience

Simply put, God knows everything effortlessly and equally well, both things actual and possible.

Three different passages in which God reveals to us his incommunicable attribute of his omniscience by way of questions:
Job 21:22 - “Will any teach God knowledge, seeing that he judges those who are on high?”
Isaiah 40:13-14 - “Who has measured the Spirit of the Lord, or what man shows him his counsel? Whom did he consult, and who made him understand? Who taught him the path of justice, and taught him knowledge, and showed him the way of understanding?”
1 Corinthians 2:16 - “For who has understood the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?”
Psalm 147:5 - “Great is our Lord, and abundant in power; his understanding is beyond measure.”
Isaiah 40:28 - “Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable.”
Qualities of God's Omniscience

1) His knowledge is independent.
2) His knowledge is infinite.
3) His knowledge cannot be frustrated.

Job 12:13-16 - “With God are wisdom and might; he has counsel and understanding. If he tears down, none can rebuild; if he shuts a man in, none can open. If he withholds the waters, they dry up; if he sends them out, they overwhelm the land. With him are strength and sound wisdom.”
Daniel 2:20 - “Daniel answered and said: ‘Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, to whom belong wisdom and might.’”

Psalm 139:15-16 - “My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.” According to David, God’s knowledge of him began prior to his formation, and includes every day from formation to death.
Hebrews 4:13 - “And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.”
The Impact of God's Omniscience

1) It gives us meaning in life.
2) It gives us peace during times of anxiety.
3) It gives us a call to integrity.
