Sermon Overview:
The second Sunday of May is the day we set aside to honor mothers. The role of a mother. Whether it’s your own mother, a spiritual mother, or a woman with a mother’s heart. On that day we pause to recognize those who are usually on the sidelines cheering on others, their daughters at soccer games, sons at baseball games, teens at graduation. But Mother’s Day is a time to stand up and to cheer for mothers. To honor them. However, looking through Scripture we see that Biblical honor is a bit different than our view of honor. This Sunday, we explore this distinction and in so doing, we honor Mothers in a Godly way.
