Sermon Overview:
We were created to live in peace and harmony with God, with each other and with the earth God gifted us. Unfortunately, sin entered the picture, and all three relationships were broken. For this Sunday we will be talking about a new ministry that will begin in the fall called Creation Care. This will be a ministry that looks at St. Andrew’s and helps us consider if we are being good stewards of this campus and our earth. As United Methodist’s we believe it is our calling to protect and create habitat for animals, reduce our carbon footprint by living more sustainably and helping people impacted by climate change and environmental injustice. Some possible ways to achieve this might be through a community garden and a program of recycling and composting. Join us as we begin considering what steps God is calling us to take as a church.
