vs. 6 - Who is Bar-Jesus?

Sergius Paulus is the “proconsul” (Greek: anthupatos) or “governor” of Cyprus, located in Paphos.
vs. 7 - Saul and Barnabas have already preached all over the island, it shouldn’t surprise that word got to the governor & he wanted to hear this message too.
vs. 8 - Why wouldn’t he want the governor to hear the message, or believe the message? ONE THING: Influence - and he didn’t want to lose it!

You son of the devil - Not a son of Abraham

Will you never stop perverting the true ways of the Lord? Speaking of his false prophecies, speaking “on behalf” of God, when God had nothing to with it!

Vs. 12 - Signs and wonders, got his attention. The message of Christ sealed the deal! It astonished him.
What’s the take home?

2. Wisemen still seek Him.
