Patience
You may have heard it said, “Patience is a virtue.” And while this statement is true, one might ask, “how do I get it?” and “why is it so hard to be patient?” According to the Apostle Paul, patience is one of the nine fruit of the Holy Spirit listed in Galatians 5. J.I. Packer defines the fruit of patience as, “the Christlike reaction to all that is maddening.” Let’s consider what patience is, and what it looks like in our lives. --- The Bible tells us that the Holy Spirit produces types of fruit in the Christian life that reflect God’s character. The fruit of the Spirit that is manifest in the Christian life includes love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. In this sermon series, we will learn how this fruit is produced and what it looks like to reflect the fruit of the Spirit in our daily lives.
