Discussion Questions - Re-read our passage from this week (1 Thessalonians 5:19-22) and then with your Growth Group, family, friends, etc. thoughtfully answer the following:

1. When was the last time you “quenched the Spirit” by not following a specific leading?

2. Have you ever had your fire “quenched” by cynical or sarcastic Christians? If so, share about it.

3. Do you think prophecy ended with the completion of the Bible, or do you see it as a spiritual gift still in operation today? See 1 Corinthians 13:8-10

4. When has been a time that you had to “test” a spiritual teaching? What tools did you employ?

5. Who are the spiritually mature people in your life you trust to help you test spiritual truth?

6. What’s a practical way you could abstain from every form of evil this week?
