Marriage, Motive, and Mission
As chosen people, we live out our calling through the relationships we have in this world. Peter explained this to his audience as citizens and employees, and now he is turning to marriage. Marriage is a means to illustrate the gospel when wives and husbands are motivated by their calling to live on mission for God. --- Life is full of challenges, yet as Christians we are called to live holy lives, reflecting God's character in every part of life. While enduring suffering and hardship is never easy, Jesus, our living hope, gives hope in difficult times. Throughout the letter of 1 Peter, we are reminded of the transformative power of God's amazing grace, the need to endure trials with patience, and the importance of trusting God by living in obedience to His word.

And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.
