John 18:33-38a NLT
“Then Pilot went back into his headquarters and called for Jesus to be brought to him. “Are you the king of the Jews?” he asked him. Jesus replied, “Is this your own question, or did others tell you about me?” “Am I a Jew? Pilot retorted. “Your own people and their leading priests brought you to me for trial. Why? What have you done?” Jesus answered, “My Kingdom is not an earthly kingdom. If it were, my followers would fight to keep me from being handed over to the Jewish leaders. But my Kingdom is not of this world.” Pilot said, “so you are a king?” Jesus responded, “You say I am a king. Actually I was born and came into the world to testify to the truth. All who love the truth recognize that what I say is true.” What is truth?” Pilate asked.

We are citizens of Jesus Kingdom first.

Our ultimate allegiance is to follow the Kings will for our lives.

The highest value of those in Jesus Kingdom is love shown by humility, sacrifice and service.

God calls us to pray for our country and government leaders.

God calls us to submit to our government leaders.

God calls us to stand up for those who can’t stand up for themselves.

God calls us to represent Him in our political participation which includes the importance to vote.

Is Jesus and His Kingdom your priority over your politics?

They were about Multi-ethnic and unified across racial lines.

They were Pro Life.

They modeled and called people to a different sexual ethic.

They were about helping the needs of the poor and marginalized.

How do you think about, talk about or view people on the other side?

Where is your true hope?
