Discussion Questions - Re-read our main passage from this week (1 Thessalonians 2:17-3:5) and then with your Growth Group, family, friends, etc. thoughtfully answer the following:
1. Have you ever connected so well with someone that in a very short time you felt like family? That’s how it was with Paul and the Thessalonian church, and that’s how it should be in our church.
2. Have you ever felt like there was a time when you were hindered by Satan in a very real way? Tell about it.
3. People (souls) are the only thing that last . . . and therefore matter. How do we sometimes lose sight of this in life & ministry?
4. Paul keeps mentioning the return of Jesus in this letter. How often do you think about His return, and when you do does it give you joy or anxiety?
5. Timothy was sent to help strengthen and establish the believer in their faith so they wouldn’t be moved. Have any of the struggles you’ve faced caused you to waiver in your faith?
6. How have you been able to “count it all joy” when you’ve faced various trials in your faith?
7. What’s your next step in response to this message?
