Sermon Overview
As we approach our national holiday of Thanksgiving, we are going to consider what we believe about the act of thanksgiving. Is it important? What does scripture teach us about being thankful? We will also consider why we often spend more time focused on the difficulties in our lives rather than being thankful for our blessings. We more naturally murmur and grumble than turn our eyes towards God with grateful hearts. This week we will look to thanksgiving as an act of worship that can pull us out of our discontentment and help us find joy again.
