This Sunday | Alabastor offering is an additional offering that we take for global missions that provide funds for property and buildings for churches and missionaries around the world. The name is based on the story of the woman who poured perfume on Jesus's feet. One avenue of giving is Alabaster boxes. Earlier this year, we distributed boxes to collect change in and we encourage people to bring those boxes in. We will be taking an offering September 24 of those boxes and other monies.

All of the leftovers from the student ministries rummage sale are still in the gym. If there is anything you want on Sunday, we would love for you to take it home. Free of charge. Ever thought of making a denim quilt, repainting paintings, or making a shoe tree. They can probably give you a good start. At about noon, they would love some help loading up the leftovers in the church trailer.

Wednesday, October 11 | 11am-1pm | The MC Milestones Council is hosting a Catholic Charities flu shot clinic in the lobby for people 60 years of age and above. To pre-register (which is required) call Jan at 815.933.7791 x 9910. Please bring your insurance card. Pneumonia, RSV, and shingles vaccines are also available by request when you register.

Friday, September 27 | 12 pm | During the school year, on the last Friday of the month, we have a group that meets to make bandages for the mission hospital in Papua New Guinea. They rip up old sheets and roll them into tight rolls. The hospital uses them, as they say, like duct tape. Good for anything. They would love to have you join.

Sunday, October 1 | 3pm | Join us at Benoit Pumpkin Farm in Kankakee as we ooh and ah over pumpkin varieties, drink apple cider, and get lost in the corn maze.

Wednesday | 5:30-6:15pm | Bring the whole family out and we’ll take care of preparing dinner. The suggested donation for an individual is $4 or feed the whole family for no more than $20. Great food, great fellowship, and a great deal! This week we are having soup and salad.

Saturday, December 2 | Student Ministries will be hosting their annual Craft and Vendor Fair this year. Contact Melody Grimm or Pastor Marcus for more information on being a vendor.
