Communion
Chapel Rock practices an 'open communion' meaning that if you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, then you are welcome to participate in the communion service. The elder/staff member giving the devotion will provide instructions.
The word translated “ambassador” in both passages (Ephesians and 2 Corinthians) means “to function as a representative of a ruling authority.”
You are a representative of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords!
BIG IDEA – Our lives are to be an embassy of the Kingdom of God no matter where we are or what we’re doing.
Our identity is to be ambassadors of our King Jesus to all the people we know and have contact with, our “relational network.”
We represent the King's fearless hope.

God valued us enough to send Jesus to die for us. That’s a fearless hope! It takes hope to see possible goodness in a life where darkness reigns. It takes hope to make known the mystery of the Gospel.

To be an ambassador of Jesus is to regard people from a heavenly perspective.

When you begin to see the world that way, with a new perspective, then you can really put away “prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness” and really love people the same way Jesus does!
We represent the King's mission of reconciliation.

When you’ve experienced the new life that Jesus gives, you are going to intentionally, boldly, and constantly be an ambassador for Jesus.

As ambassadors, we are simply carrying on God’s work of reconciliation.

Our great God has gifted you uniquely to represent him to your family, your friends, your coworkers, your classmates, your neighbors, and your community. Only you can represent God in your life, so go for it!
