Five painful effects of pride:
1) Pride inflates your head (2)
2) Pride deceives your heart (3)
3) Pride gives you a big mouth (4)
Proverbs 16:18
"You can always trace a big fall back to the little cracks of pride."
4) Pride sours relationships (7)
THE CAUSE OF THE DOOM: (1:10-14)
5) Pride makes you heartless toward the hurting (10-14)
4 heartless actions: A careless attitude (11), cheering on the foes (12), capitalizing on the failures (13), capturing the fugitives (14)
"Pride makes you self oriented."
THE ULTIMATE DAY OF DOOM COMING (1:15-21)
17) When Jesus comes He will bring to His people deliverance, holiness, and an inheritance.
19-20) God will do what He has promised.
