Past, pride, political, prejudicial, and perverse.
Tum’ah: uncleanness from religious impurities, and unethical or Godly perspectives
Idol: a person or thing that is greatly admired, loved, or revered: an image or representation of a god used as an object of worship

We make our past an idol when we refuse to move on and move forward.
We make our past sinful ways idols when we refuse to lose the label of sinner, liar, adulterer, insecure, prideful, anxious, worrier, doubter, fake, disingenuous, hater, etc.
Pride: a feeling of deep pleasure or satisfaction derived from one's own achievements (dignity), the achievements of those with whom one is closely associated, or from qualities or possessions that are widely admired.
