Synopsis: We are focusing on the stories that display God’s Redemption and Rescue through this series. We serve a mighty God who has displayed himself in power, in love, and sound judgment.
The first display following creation of his Power, Love, and Sound Judgment

Adam and Eve were told they could have everything except this one thing
Following this Adam blames the woman and God verse 12 he says the Woman you gave me.
God’s love is displayed in verse 21 The Lord God made clothing from skins for the man and his wife, and he clothed them.

This is the first sacrifice setting the precedent that would eventually bring us to the death of Jesus

Let’s look at the next display

The Children journey out of Egypt and arrive at the Red Sea and begin to get mad

Now Joshua and Caleb who maintained their faith in God are forced to wander with the people who rejected God’s promise for 40 years until they die off.

Your decision does not affect just you!
The story of Rahab and how God worked in the people of Israel displays God’s power, love, and sound judgment
Sound Judgment: Was displayed in that those that did not want to posses the promise due to fear did not get to, but all those who wanted the promise were allowed to enter
Let’s look at one more example of God’s power, love, and sound judgment
Now maybe you are struggling with fear about your next step because your next step might draw some attention to you
Rebuke that fear and remember you are created in the image of God.
Remind yourself that God controls nature he can control everything that is going on.
Remind yourself that the enemy has already melted!
Remind yourself that God has been a good judge of people over and over and maybe just maybe he has positioned you for a time such as this.
Questions for Reflection:
What story do you identify with?

Have you ever rebuked fear and pressed on?
