In 1 Corinthians, we see a letter from Paul that addresses issues of immorality, disunity, distrust, and misalignment in the church - things that hinder our ability to run the race of life as Christians in the church today. Join us for an important series, as we study the book of 1 Corinthians and learn about what it means to run/live with Jesus as the goal for our lives!
Doing whatever it takes means remembering the God-honoring tradition and order of public worship.
Doing whatever it takes means recognizing that everyone has a unique and important role to play.
1 Corinthians 11:6-12 NASB1995

Both the man and woman are to treat each other in such a way as to reflect the picture God intended. There is order in creation and thus order in relationship and in worship.
Doing whatever it takes means to refer the created order in relationships and in worship.
1 Corinthians 11:13-16 NASB1995

Doing whatever it takes means recognizing God’s order in our lives, families, and church.
Doing whatever it takes:
1. Trust and obey God’s standards. (1 Corinthians 11:2)
2. Don’t try to conform to the culture. (1 Corinthians 1:2)
3. Celebrate God’s design! (Genesis 1:26, Matthew 19:4)

Giving our tithes (10%) and offerings (anything above and beyond) is a tangible way to acknowledge that everything we have is God’s to begin with. Giving the first portion of our income back to Him allows our church to do ministry and to help meet the needs of those throughout our community and world.
