DIG: (25-30 minutes)
Read Numbers 11:4-17
What is the attitude of the Israelites in this chapter? How is that changed since Numbers 9:15-23?
What has been the net effect on Moses of all the complaints of the people? Why does Moses want to quit? (verses 10-15)
On Sunday we said, “If you want to go fast go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” What do you think is meant by that statement? Can you think of ways that is true?
In a crisis, whether it is marriage, financial or health, we either push toward isolation or we realize we can’t handle it alone and take off our mask and embrace meaningful relationships. Can you think of a time you went one direction or the other? Share with the group.
It’s not a matter of if you have a crisis or not. You WILL go through crisis.
You are either IN a crisis, coming OUT of a crisis or, going INTO a crisis. Being as open as you can be how do you relate to this in your life right now? Are you IN a crisis? Coming OUT of a crisis? Or do you sense you are going INTO a crisis?
REFLECT: (15 minutes)
On Sunday it was said, “But If I am going to carry burden, I need to know what your burden is. If you are going to carry my burden, you need to know what my burdens are.”
Read Galatians 6:2
“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2
How can we, in this group, live out Galatians 6:2?
When are you, like Israel and Moses most likely to become discouraged in your allotment or position in life?
When you’re discouraged, do you tend to listen more to people’s complaints, to God’s provision or inner doubts?
