Heartland Community Church
Sunday Worship October 14, 2018
Grace is foundational to our faith, yet one of the hardest things to wrap our heads around. It’s free, but costly. It’s the only path to life, but means dying. It’s for those who aren’t perfect and those who think they are. It’s extended to everyone, but only accepted by a few. It’s amazing and the best news ever, but we make it messy. Join us as we take a deep dive into God’s grace and the mess we make of it the next four weeks as we remember that grace is for everyone, grace is always loving, grace is always true, and that grace is for you.

Sermon Notes & Scripture
"Messy Grace: Grace Is Always Loving"
Pastor Matt Schaffner
Grace is for everyone and is always loving.
Grace is always loving because it avoids agendas in favor of people.
Grace is always loving because it's selfless instead of selfish.
Grace is always loving because it's NOT just.
Grace is always loving because it holds accusers to a higher standard than the accused.
Grace is always loving because it never compromises the truth and requires us to see the truth about ourselves.
Grace is always loving because instead of condemnation, it calls us to life.
Monday is coming!
What happens Sunday is only as meaningful as what you do with it the rest of the week. This week be reminded that because of what we've been forgiven (or how well we know grace), we can extend it. So humble yourself and extend the same kind of grace you've been given.
