The Outlet Community Church
One with God: ONE Series (Part 1)
In Jesus’ final moments of His earthly ministry, one of His final prayers centered on the essence of the character of God - Unity. As we embark on this new endeavor/new year/new season, we want to commit to becoming intentional about our Unity with God, ourselves (spirit, soul, body), and others.

Thank you Lord for another day to live for you.

This is the day You have made and I will rejoice and be glad in it
I choose to bless you Lord with all that is within me.
Great is your mercy towards me and your unfailing love that you have shown me.
Your mercies are new every morning and I choose this day to walk in them.
I receive your promise of divine protection, divine guidance, and divine provision as found in Psalm 91.
I speak a blessing over my body, over my mind, over my family, over my purpose, and over my community.
In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Communion On-Demand
Main Point: In Jesus’ final moments of His earthly ministry, one of His final prayers centered on the essence of the character of God - Unity. As we embark on this new endeavor/new year/new season, we want to commit to becoming intentional about our Unity with God, ourselves (spirit, soul, body), and others.
For The Next 5 weeks we will discuss what it means to be one with God, operate in His Love, Become Unified as the Church, Understand Our Unique Purpose, and Order our Lives Around God’s Mission.

John 17:21–23 (NLT)
Saying all these things, All What Things?

- John 13: The Importance of the Love of God not only received but also displayed.
- John 14: We will receive Help from Holy Spirit to be reminded of God’s love.
- John 15: Holy Spirit helps us to form habits to receive, display, and be reminded of God’s love which will produce lifestyle that resembles God’s plan for our lives.
- John 16: When we live a life that resembles God’s love it will produce peace to restore broken areas.
God wants us to receive, display, and be reminded of His love for us.

Jude 24–25 (NLT)

John 17:1-3 (NLT) continued...
Since the early 16th century, biblical scholars have contended that Jesus’ intercession in John 17 should be viewed in terms of the OT role of high priest thus dubbing the title of this chapter to be “Jesus’ High Priestly Prayer.”

~Craig S. Keener, The Gospel of John: A Commentary & 2, vol. 1 (Grand Rapids, MI: Baker Academic, 2012), 1051.

Hebrews 7:16–22 (NLT)

“This Melchizedek was king of the city of Salem and also a priest of God Most High. When Abraham was returning home after winning a great battle against the kings, Melchizedek met him and blessed him. Then Abraham took a tenth of all he had captured in battle and gave it to Melchizedek. The name Melchizedek means “king of justice,” and king of Salem means “king of peace.””

Hebrews 7:1-2 (NLT)
Melchizedek met Abraham coming out of one battle, gave Him bread and wine, as well as blessed Abraham, to be prepared for what lies ahead of him.
-Genesis 14:17-24 (NLT)

Jesus who is after the order of Melchizedek is here to meet us today, as we are coming out of one year, and heading into another. Because Jesus knows exactly how we are feeling and what we will need to keep going, when we come boldly to Him, He helps us recover from our past while at the same preparing us for our future by walking closely with us today.

Let us respond in the same manner of Abraham with the first and best priorities of our heart in surrender to God’s plan for our lives.
